Hyper-Realistic Graphite Drawings by Monica Lee

Malaysian artist Monica Lee is obsessed with details. She works from photographic portraits to create seemingly identical drawings but exaggerating defects such as wrinkles and freckles. A particular effect (anti-photoshop) that reminds me these ultra violet portraits from Cara Phillips. The time necessary for a single drawing is about 3-4 weeks. Monica Lee worked in the digital world for 12 years before starting her career with illustration.
