Bold expressive illustrations by Kari Modén

Illustrator Kari Modén is based in Stockholm, Sweden. She studied graphic design and illustration at RMI Berghs School and then started off as an Art Directors assistant whilst studying typography with renowned Swedish typographer Carl-Fredric Hultenheim. Kari Modén has a great sense of colour and she uses her bold and expressive style to mix simple minimal shapes with type. Inspired by pop-art and South American poster design Kari has contributed to many international illustration/design books.
