Yildy Aktas did a great film with a trial of "Magic Bullet Looks"… Read the following to know how he did the tilt-shift effect and color grade.

Magic Bullet Looks trials. Clips are from Ocracoke NC beach, and US National Whitewater Center at Charlotte NC. Yildy Aktas uses the camcorder Canon HV30 at 24P Cinemode. Music: “Siempre Me Quedará” by Bebe (Spanish alternative pop singer).
1) “I used MBL “Blockbuster” preset as just a starting point. I used gradients and lenses with post production film look set up and I graded every clip separately, and in some cases I applied mask to increase the exposure for a specific section of the clip.
2) I use FCP but Vegas should have similar futures. First crop the sequence after applying widescreen filter, then make a new sequence and load the original cropped sequence. Change the sequence settings to custom dimensions which are equal to the dimensions of the cropped version of the original cut. That will result a sequence perfectly fitting to the dimensions of your final cut ( in my case 2.35:1). Then render the sequence and export it to any format that you desired.” says Yildy Aktas.
