Mixing traditional and digital techniques: Andrew Archer

Andrew Archer lives in Auckland, New Zealand where he is working as an illustrator since 2006. He uses a healthy mix of both traditional and digital techniques. Andrew Archer is greatly inspired by surrealism, juxtapositions and sublime narratives but more specifically wood block prints, edo period art, cartoons, ideograms, characterization, travel and Asia. He has worked for WIRED, Runners World, ESPN, MOJO, Q Magazine, Saatchi & Saatchi, BBC, Red Bull, BBDO, OUT, Faber & Faber, Popsci, Spin, EMI Music, NZ Music Commision, NY Observer, San Francisco Magazine, Audi EU, Vogue FR, Penguin Books, 2Brothers Films, New Scientist, Dutch Masters, Elle, NZ Herald, NG Traveller etc.
