His paintings are inspired by contemporary dance having been immersed in that environment throughout his childhood, his mother being a choreographer. He focuses on the relationship between fixed image and movement. Also inspired by the expressionists (Francis Bacon, Paul Rebeyrolle, Jenny Saville, Vladimir Velickovic, Cecily Brown) he tries to represent bodies in movement without distortion.
