Invisible cities by David Cousin-Marsy

davidcousin-marsy

David Cousin-Marsy is a French artist and photographer, mostly creating photo-collages and architecture or urban photographs. His artistic project « Vu en ville » aims to question ordinary urban spaces, in order to turn visible what is diluted in the everyday life exposure. He explores the theme of urban reality and its invisible counterpart. The most ordinary spaces find a new subjectivity, and prod our imaginations to ponder the relationship we have with the city. Seeing things differently enables us to envisage a future and new meanings for these spaces. As an author/photographer, he proposes a new reading of the city as a simple visual device, free of its cultural and social values and its practices and functions. Lire cet article en Français.
