Amazing shots by Akihito Igarashi

Akihito Igarashi is a Japanese photographer living in London. Very beautiful and various shots (faces, fashion, music, places…) I have to say this is one of my favorite portfolios! I spent hours watching these numerous photographs. The work for fashion or music is good and there’s always something unusual. In the “places” category (London, Tokyo, Seoul, Europe) the shots are like in a diary, and you’re becoming witness of a life with movement and emotion.

Beautiful portrait paintings and collages by Ann Marshall

Ann Marshall is an artist from New York City who grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and earned her BFA from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. After traveling nationally and internationally as an ethnographer and consumer anthropologist, she now works as a portrait and fine artist. There’s often some confusion about her work. All figure work is done by hand, using either oil paint or pastel. The collage work is similarly low tech, constructed with scissors and an ever changing array of non-toxic glues. A beautiful giclee on Hahnemuhle German Etching Paper is available on purchase.

Subversive photo-based artworks by Dan Bergeron

Dan Bergeron AKA fauxreel, is known for his billboard take-overs, transforming advertising into funny pieces of art, never so far from political statements or a sort of vandalism. He is playing with guerrilla tactics of instant-impact, making street art expressive, amazing and fun. But Dan Bergeron also is a photographer mostly working on editorial, commercial and art photography. Client list include Luminato, The Art Gallery of Ontario, The Royal Ontario Museum, Vespa, Red Bull, etc.

Dreams and fashion by Elene Usdin

Elene Usdin is a French photographer and illustrator. I’ll post something about her illustrations later. She started photography in 2002 doing fantastic self-portraits. She says photography is the best way to experiment and create with full control. Elene Usdin proceeds to tell her stories through the use of fashion. So there’s much beauty and magic in her sophisticated and many times awarded work.
